  SECTION 548.049. Medical, surgical, and hospital insurance; life insurance.

  • 1(1) 2The commission shall, by rule, require participants to be covered by not less than $20,000 of insurance for medical, surgical, and hospital care required as a result of injuries sustained while engaged in matches. The insured shall be the beneficiary of such policies. Any deductible associated with the insurance policy shall be paid by the promoter and shall not be paid by or charged to the participant.
    70(2) 71The commission may also require participants to be covered by not less than $20,000 of life insurance covering deaths caused by injuries received while engaged in matches.
