SECTION 509.404. Writ of distress; venue and jurisdiction.

1The action under s. 5509.403 6shall be brought in a court of appropriate jurisdiction in the county where the property is located. When property consists of separate articles, the value of any one of which is within the jurisdictional amount of a lower court but which, taken together, exceed that jurisdictional amount, the operator may not divide the property to give jurisdiction to the lower court so as to enable the operator to bring separate actions therefor.
