SECTION 104.186. Initiative petitions; violations.

1A person who compensates a petition circulator as defined in s. 1297.021 13based on the number of petition forms gathered commits a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 33775.082 34or s. 36775.08337. This section does not prohibit employment relationships that do not base payment on the number of signatures collected.
