SECTION 949.08. Department of Corrections may expend funds relating to compacts; limitation on assessments.

1(1) 2The Department of Corrections may expend funds as necessary to carry out the terms, conditions, and intents of a compact entered into by the state pursuant to s. 30949.0731.
32(2) 33Notwithstanding subsection (2) of article X of s. 41949.07, 42the state shall reduce the amount paid as the state’s assessment under the compact entered into under s. 60949.07 61so that the total collected from the annual assessment does not exceed the amount appropriated for the assessment by the Legislature for any single fiscal year.
