SECTION 945.21501. Employee Benefit Trust Fund.

1(1) 2There is hereby created in the Department of Corrections the Employee Benefit Trust Fund. The purpose of the trust fund shall be to:
25(a) 26Construct, operate, and maintain training and recreation facilities at correctional facilities for the exclusive use of department employees. Any facility constructed using funds from the Employee Benefit Trust Fund is the property of the department and must provide the maximum benefit to all interested employees, regardless of gender.
74(b) 75Provide funding for employee appreciation programs and activities designed to enhance the morale of employees.
90Moneys shall be deposited in the trust fund as provided in s. 102945.215103.
104(2) 105Notwithstanding the provisions of s. 110216.301 111and pursuant to s. 115216.351, 116any balance in the trust fund at the end of any fiscal year shall remain in the trust fund at the end of the year and shall be available for carrying out the purposes of the trust fund.
154(3) 155The department shall adopt rules pursuant to ss. 163120.536(1) 164and 165120.54 166to administer this section.
