1Before the release by parole, release by reason of gain-time allowances provided for in s. 16944.291, 17or expiration of sentence of any inmate who has been diagnosed as having an intellectual disability as defined in s. 37393.063, 38the Department of Corrections shall notify the Agency for Persons with Disabilities in order that sufficient time be allowed to notify the inmate or the inmate’s representative, in writing, at least 7 days before the inmate’s release, of available community services.
