  SECTION 679.3141. Perfection by control.

  • 1(1) 2A security interest in investment property, deposit accounts, letter-of-credit rights, electronic chattel paper, or electronic documents may be perfected by control of the collateral under s. 28677.106, 29s. 30679.1041, 31s. 32679.1051, 33s. 34679.1061, 35or s. 37679.107138.
    39(2) 40A security interest in deposit accounts, electronic chattel paper, letter-of-credit rights, or electronic documents is perfected by control under s. 60677.106, 61s. 62679.1041, 63s. 64679.1051, 65or s. 67679.1071 68when the secured party obtains control and remains perfected by control only while the secured party retains control.
    86(3) 87A security interest in investment property is perfected by control under s. 99679.1061 100from the time the secured party obtains control and remains perfected by control until:
    114(a) 115The secured party does not have control; and
    123(b) 124One of the following occurs:
    1291. 130If the collateral is a certificated security, the debtor has or acquires possession of the security certificate;
    1472. 148If the collateral is an uncertificated security, the issuer has registered or registers the debtor as the registered owner; or
    1683. 169If the collateral is a security entitlement, the debtor is or becomes the entitlement holder.
