SECTION 627.504. Grace period.

1The policy shall provide that the insured is entitled to a grace period of 4 weeks within which the payment of any premiums due after the first premium payment may be made, except that in policies the premiums for which are payable monthly, the grace period shall be 1 month, but not less than 30 days; and that during the grace period the policy shall continue in full force, but if during the grace period there is a claim under the policy, then any premiums due and unpaid may be deducted from any settlement under the policy.
