  SECTION 627.416. Execution of policies.

  • 1(1) 2Except as set forth in subsection (4), an insurance policy shall be executed in the name of and on behalf of the insurer by its officer, attorney in fact, employee, or representative duly authorized by the insurer.
    39(2) 40A facsimile signature of any such executing individual may be used in lieu of an original signature.
    57(3) 58No insurance contract which is otherwise valid shall be rendered invalid by reason of the apparent execution thereof on behalf of the insurer by the imprinted facsimile signature of an individual not authorized so to execute as of the date of the policy.
    101(4) 102An insurer may elect to issue an insurance policy that is not executed by an officer, attorney in fact, employee, or representative, provided that such policy may not be rendered invalid by reason of the lack of execution thereof.
