  SECTION 627.021. Scope of this part.

  • 1(1) 2This part of this chapter applies only to property, casualty, and surety insurances on subjects of insurance resident, located, or to be performed in this state.
    28(2) 29This part does not apply to:
    35(a) 36Reinsurance, except joint reinsurance as provided in s. 44627.31145.
    46(b) 47Insurance against loss of or damage to aircraft, their hulls, accessories, or equipment, or against liability, other than workers’ compensation and employer’s liability, arising out of the ownership, maintenance, or use of aircraft.
    80(c) 81Insurance of vessels or craft, their cargoes, marine builders’ risks, marine protection and indemnity, or other risks commonly insured under marine insurance policies.
    104(d) 105Commercial inland marine insurance.
    109(e) 110Surplus lines insurance placed under the provisions of ss. 119626.913120-121626.937122.
    123(3) 124For the purposes of this part, all motor vehicle insurance shall be deemed to be casualty insurance only.
    142(4) 143This part does not apply to health insurance.
