  SECTION 626.9706. Life insurance; discrimination on basis of sickle-cell trait prohibited.

  • 1(1) 2No insurer authorized to transact insurance in this state shall refuse to issue and deliver any policy of life insurance solely because the person to be insured has the sickle-cell trait.
    33(2) 34No life insurance policy issued and delivered in this state shall carry a higher premium rate or charge solely because the person to be insured has the sickle-cell trait.
