SECTION 626.929. Origination, acceptance, placement of surplus lines business.

1(1) 2A general lines agent while licensed and appointed as a surplus lines agent under this part may originate surplus lines business and may accept surplus lines business from any other originating Florida-licensed general lines agent appointed and licensed as to the kinds of insurance involved and may compensate such agent therefor.
53(2) 54A managing general agent while licensed and appointed as a surplus lines agent under this part may accept and place solely such surplus lines business as is originated by a Florida-licensed general lines agent appointed and licensed as to the kinds of insurance involved and may compensate such agent therefor.
104(3) 105No such general lines agent shall knowingly misrepresent to the surplus lines agent any material fact involved in any such insurance or in the eligibility thereof for placement with a surplus lines insurer.
