  SECTION 626.870. Application for license.

  • 1(1) 2Application for a license under this part shall be made as provided in s. 16626.171 17and related sections of this code.
    23(2) 24The department shall so prepare the form of the application as to elicit and require from the applicant the information necessary to enable the department to determine whether the applicant possesses the qualifications prerequisite to issuance of the license to the applicant.
    66(3) 67The department may, in its discretion, require that the application be supplemented by the certificate or affidavit of such person or persons as it deems necessary for its determination of the applicant’s residence, business reputation, and reputation for trustworthiness. The department shall prescribe and may furnish the forms for such certificates and affidavits.
    120(4) 121A license, an appointment, or eligibility that has been suspended may not be reinstated except upon the filing and approval of an application for reinstatement in accordance with s. 150626.641151. In addition, for reinstatement of a public adjuster’s license, appointment, or eligibility, the individual must pass the public adjuster licensing examination. An application for reinstatement must be accompanied by any applicable examination fee. Successful completion of the examination does not entitle the applicant to have a license reinstated. The application is subject to denial pursuant to ss. 209626.207, 210626.611, 211626.621, 212and 213626.8698214. If the department approves an application for reinstatement, the applicant shall be notified that the license will be reinstated upon payment by the applicant of the reinstatement fee contained in s. 246624.501(15)247.
