SECTION 626.8423. Investigation of applicants for license or renewal or continuation.

1The department may propound reasonable interrogatories, in addition to those contained in the application, to any applicant for a title insurance agent’s license or appointment or for renewal or continuation of such a license or appointment relating to the applicant’s qualifications, residence, and prospective place of business and any other matter which the department considers necessary or advisable for the protection of the public and to ascertain the applicant’s qualifications. The department may, upon receipt of the application, make such further investigation as it considers advisable of the applicant’s character, experience, background, and fitness for the license.
