  SECTION 616.24. Enforcement.

  • 1(1) 2The department shall administer and enforce the provisions of this chapter and the rules adopted pursuant thereto.
    19(2) 20It is the duty of each state attorney, law enforcement officer as defined by chapter 943, and other appropriate county or municipal officer to enforce this chapter and the rules adopted pursuant thereto and to assist the department and its inspectors and agents in the enforcement of this chapter and the rules adopted pursuant thereto.
    75(3) 76The department may commence and maintain any necessary and proper action for the following purposes:
    91(a) 92To enforce this chapter and the rules adopted pursuant thereto.
    102(b) 103To seek to enjoin any violation of this chapter or any rule adopted pursuant thereto. The circuit court may, after a hearing and for good cause shown, temporarily or permanently enjoin any person from violating this chapter or any rule adopted pursuant thereto or failing to comply with the requirements of this chapter or any rule adopted pursuant thereto.
