1(1) 2This chapter shall be liberally construed and applied.
10(2) 11Its purposes are:14(a) 15To preserve the integrity of marriage and to safeguard meaningful family relationships;
27(b) 28To promote the amicable settlement of disputes that arise between parties to a marriage; and
43(c) 44To mitigate the potential harm to the spouses and their children caused by the process of legal dissolution of marriage.
