  SECTION 570.13. Salary of commissioner, officers, and employees; expenses.

  • 1(1) 2The annual salary of the commissioner shall be the amount as provided by law. The salaries of the assistant commissioner, counsel, directors, and all other officers and employees of the department shall be fixed by the department within the limits of funds appropriated for them.
    47(2) 48The reasonable and necessary travel and other expenses of the commissioner, assistant commissioner, counsel, directors, and other officers and employees of the department, while actually engaged in the performance of their duties, outside of the City of Tallahassee, or if any such officer or employee be in charge of or regularly employed at a branch office of the department, the reasonable and necessary travel and other expenses outside the place such branch office is located, shall be paid from the State Treasury after audit by the Chief Financial Officer of vouchers approved by the department in the amount provided in s. 149112.061150.
