SECTION 472.027. Standards of practice.

1The board shall adopt rules establishing standards of practice for the profession of surveying and mapping to:
18(1) 19Assure competence in the practice of the profession;
27(2) 28Assure accuracy, completeness, and quality in the products provided;
37(3) 38Assure adequate and defensible real property boundary locations; and
47(4) 48Govern the following professional matters:
53(a) 54Conflicts of interest.
57(b) 58Client confidentiality.
60(c) 61Misuse, reuse, unauthorized use, or alteration of another professional’s product.
71(d) 72Fair dealing in all professional relationships and private and public sector contracts.
84(e) 85Retention of work products in hard copy or electronic or digital formats.
97(f) 98Transfer and storage of files and file materials upon discontinuance of the practice of surveying and mapping.
