1No provision of this chapter shall be construed to prohibit:
11(1) 12The practice of midwifery by students enrolled in an approved midwifery training program.
25(2) 26The establishment of an independent practice by one or more midwives for the purpose of rendering to patients midwifery services within the scope of the midwife license.
53(3) 54Assistance by any person in the case of an emergency.
