  SECTION 446.041. Apprenticeship program, duties of the department.

  • 1The department shall:
    4(1) 5Administer ss. 7446.0118-9446.09210.
    11(2) 12Administer the standards established by the department.
    19(3) 20Register in accordance with this chapter any apprenticeship or preapprenticeship program, regardless of affiliation, which meets standards established by the department.
    41(4) 42Investigate complaints concerning the failure of any registered program to meet the standards established by the department.
    59(5) 60Cancel the registration of any program that fails to comply with the standards and policies of the department or that unreasonably fails or refuses to cooperate with the department in monitoring and enforcing compliance with the standards.
    97(6) 98Develop and encourage apprenticeship programs.
    103(7) 104Lead and coordinate outreach efforts to educate veterans about apprenticeship and career opportunities.
    117(8) 118Cooperate with and assist local apprenticeship sponsors in the development of their apprenticeship standards and training requirements.
    135(9) 136Encourage registered apprenticeship programs to grant consideration and credit to individuals completing registered preapprenticeship programs.
    151(10) 152Monitor registered apprenticeship programs to ensure that they are being operated in compliance with all applicable standards.
    169(11) 170Supervise all apprenticeship programs that are registered with the department.
    180(12) 181Ensure that minority and gender diversity are considered in administering this program.
    193(13) 194Adopt rules required to administer ss. 200446.011201-202446.092203.
