SECTION 409.817. Approval of health benefits coverage; financial assistance.

1In order for health insurance coverage to qualify for premium assistance payments for an eligible child under ss. 19409.81020-21409.821, 22the health benefits coverage must:
27(1) 28Be certified by the Office of Insurance Regulation of the Financial Services Commission under s. 43409.818 44as meeting, exceeding, or being actuarially equivalent to the benchmark benefit plan;
56(2) 57Be guarantee issued;
60(3) 61Be community rated;
64(4) 65Not impose any preexisting condition exclusion for covered benefits;
74(5) 75Comply with the applicable limitations on premiums and cost sharing in s. 87409.816;
88(6) 89Comply with the quality assurance and access standards developed under s. 100409.820; 101and
102(7) 103Establish periodic open enrollment periods, which may not occur more frequently than quarterly.
