1It is the responsibility of the State of Florida, for protection of the public health and safety:
18(1) 19To institute and maintain a program to permit development and utilization of sources of radiation for purposes consistent with the health and safety of the public.
45(2) 46To prevent any associated harmful effects of radiation upon the public through the institution and maintenance of a regulatory program for all sources of radiation, providing for:
73(a) 74A single effective system of regulation within the state.
83(b) 84A system consonant with those of other states.
92(c) 93Compatibility with the standards and regulatory programs of the Federal Government for byproduct, source, and special nuclear materials.
