  SECTION 341.071. Transit productivity and performance measures; reports.

  • 1(1) 2Where there is an approved local government comprehensive plan in the political subdivision or political subdivisions in which the public transportation system is located, each public transit provider shall establish public transportation development plans consistent with approved local government comprehensive plans.
    43(2) 44Each public transit provider shall establish productivity and performance measures, which must be approved by the department and which must be selected from measures developed pursuant to s. 72341.041(3)73. Each provider shall, by January 31 of each year, report to the department relative to these measures. In approving these measures, the department shall give consideration to the goals and objectives of each system, the needs of the local area, and the role for public transit in the local area. The report shall also specifically address potential enhancements to productivity and performance which would have the effect of increasing farebox recovery ratio.
    146(3) 147Each public transit provider shall publish in the local newspaper of its area the productivity and performance measures established for the year and a report which provides quantitative data relative to the attainment of established productivity and performance measures.
