CHAPTER 332. AIRPORTS AND OTHER AIR NAVIGATION FACILITIES |

- 1(1) 2It shall be the duty, function, and responsibility of the Department of Transportation to plan airport systems in this state. In carrying out this duty and responsibility, the department may assist and advise, cooperate, and coordinate with the federal, state, local, or private organizations and individuals in planning such systems of airports.54(2) 55It shall be the duty, function, and responsibility of the Department of Transportation to promote the further development and improvement of air routes, airport facilities, and landing fields and protect their approaches and to stimulate the development of aviation commerce and air facilities. In carrying out this duty and responsibility, the department may advise and cooperate with municipalities, counties, regional authorities, state agencies, appropriate federal agencies, and interested private individuals and groups.
