SECTION 287.074. Prohibited actions by contractor personnel.

1(1) 2Only a public officer or a public employee upon whom the public officer has delegated authority shall, consistent with law, take actions, including, but not limited to:
29(a) 30Selecting state employees;
33(b) 34Approving position descriptions, performance standards, or salary adjustments for state employees; and
46(c) 47Hiring, promoting, disciplining, demoting, and dismissing a state employee.
56(2) 57Only a public officer shall, consistent with law, commission and appoint state officers.
