SECTION 265.005. Florida Holocaust Memorial.

1(1) 2It is the intent of the Legislature to recognize and commemorate the millions of people, including six million Jews, murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators before and during World War II in Europe and to honor the survivors of the Holocaust through the establishment of the Florida Holocaust Memorial.
52(2) 53There is established the Florida Holocaust Memorial.
60(a) 61The memorial is administered by the Department of Management Services.
71(b) 72The Department of Management Services shall set aside an appropriate public area for the memorial on the premises of the Capitol Complex, as defined in s. 98281.01, 99but not including the State Capital Circle Office Complex. The department shall construct and place the Florida Holocaust Memorial after it has considered the recommendations of the Florida Historical Commission as required pursuant to ss. 134265.111 135and 136267.0612(9) 137and coordinated with the Division of Historical Resources of the Department of State regarding the memorial’s design and placement.
