  SECTION 193.077. Notice of new, rebuilt, or expanded property.

  • 1(1) 2The property appraiser shall accept notices on or before April 1 of the year in which the new or additional real or personal property acquired to establish a new business or facilitate a business expansion or restoration is first subject to assessment. The notice shall be filed, on a form prescribed by the department, by any business seeking to qualify for an enterprise zone property tax credit as a new or expanded business pursuant to s. 78220.182(4)79.
    80(2) 81Upon determining that the real or tangible personal property described in the notice is in fact to be incorporated into a new, expanded, or rebuilt business, the property appraiser shall so affirm and certify on the face of the notice and shall provide a copy thereof to the new or expanded business and to the department.
    137(3) 138Within 10 days of extension or recertification of the assessment rolls pursuant to s. 152193.122, 153whichever is later, the property appraiser shall forward to the department a list of all property of new businesses and property separately assessed as expansion-related or rebuilt property pursuant to s. 184193.085(5)(a)185. The list shall include the name and address of the business to which the property is assessed, the assessed value of the property, the total taxes levied against the property, the identifying number for the property as shown on the assessment roll, and a description of the property.
    234(4) 235This section expires on the date specified in s. 244290.016 245for the expiration of the Florida Enterprise Zone Act.
