  SECTION 166.222. Building code inspection fees.

  • 1(1) 2The governing body of a municipality may provide a schedule of reasonable inspection fees in order to defer the costs of inspection and enforcement of the provisions of its building code.
    33(2) 34The governing body of a municipality authorized under s. 43553.80 44to issue fees shall post its permit and inspection fee schedules and its building permit and inspection utilization report required under s. 66553.80(7) 67on its website.
    70(3) 71The governing body of a municipality that issues building permits may charge a person only one search fee, in an amount commensurate with the research and time costs incurred by the governing body, for identifying building permits for each unit or subunit assigned by the governing body to a particular tax parcel identification number.
