1(1) 2As used in this chapter, the term “judicial office” includes the office of:
15(a) 16Justice of the Supreme Court.
21(b) 22Judge of a district court of appeal.
29(c) 30Judge of a circuit court.
35(d) 36County court judge.
39(2) 40A judicial office is a nonpartisan office, and a candidate for election or retention thereto is prohibited from campaigning or qualifying for such an office based on party affiliation.
