SECTION 1009.01. Definitions.

  • 1The term:
    3(1) 4“Tuition” means the basic fee charged to a student for instruction provided by a public postsecondary educational institution in this state. A charge for any other purpose shall not be included within this fee.
    38(2) 39“Out-of-state fee” means the additional fee for instruction provided by a public postsecondary educational institution in this state, which fee is charged to a student who does not qualify for the in-state tuition rate pursuant to s. 761009.2177. A charge for any other purpose shall not be included within this fee.
    91(3) 92“Tuition differential” means the supplemental fee charged to a student by a public university in this state pursuant to s. 1121009.24(16)113.
