  SECTION 1003.25. Procedures for maintenance and transfer of student records.

  • 1(1) 2Each principal shall maintain a permanent cumulative record for each student enrolled in a public K-12 school. Such record shall be maintained in the form, and contain all data, prescribed by rule by the State Board of Education. The cumulative record is confidential and exempt from the provisions of s. 52119.07(1) 53and is open to inspection only as provided in chapter 1002.
    64(2) 65The procedure for transferring and maintaining records of students who transfer from school to school shall be prescribed by rules of the State Board of Education. The transfer of records shall occur within 3 school days. The records shall include:
    105(a) 106Verified reports of serious or recurrent behavior patterns, including threat assessment evaluations and intervention services.
    121(b) 122Psychological evaluations, including therapeutic treatment plans and therapy or progress notes created or maintained by school district or charter school staff, as appropriate.
    145(3) 146Procedures relating to the acceptance of transfer work and credit for students shall be prescribed by rule by the State Board of Education.
