SECTION 1000.38. Compact Commissioner and Military Family Education Liaison; Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children.

1(1) 2In furtherance of Articles VIII and IX of the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children, the Governor shall designate a:
24(a) 25Compact Commissioner, who shall be responsible for the administration and management of this state’s participation in the compact and who shall serve as this state’s voting representative on the Interstate Commission on Educational Opportunity for Military Children.
62(b) 63Military Family Education Liaison from the list of recommendations provided under s. 751000.39(2), 76who shall be responsible for assisting military families and the state in facilitating the implementation of this compact.
94(2) 95The Compact Commissioner and the Military Family Education Liaison shall serve at the pleasure of the Governor.
Note.-Section 1, ch. 2019-7, amended s. 1000.40 to provide that s. 1000.38 shall stand repealed on July 1, 2022, unless reviewed and saved from repeal through reenactment by the Legislature.
